Here’s the order issued on March 29, 2020 with additional requirements for contractors to work safely. Interestingly it requires mandatory temperature checks of all workers before they leave home and optional temperature checks at the jobsite, which is an unprecedented invasion of what used to be a person’s privacy. However, because “the greater good” outweighs this minor invasion of privacy, it’s been authorized by the County.
The penalties, which weren’t provided with the order, include the ability of the County to remove the essential business waiver/designation from the offending contractor, so these processes must be taken seriously by our contracting community.
